"Deep Ellum Texas" Branding
Belmont Ice House Wins

At the 3rd Annual Deep Ellum BBQ and Cakewalk the Deep Ellum Community Association (DECA) revealed the new branding for our "Deep Ellum Texas" campaign.
DECA reached out to the neighborhood creatives to submit logo ideas for "Deep Ellum Texas" . The Deep Ellum Foundation provided a grant of prize money for the contest winner.
Community members and judges with creative and advertising backgrounds then chose a winning logo in blind judging from dozens of great entries. The winner was Deep Ellum creative advertising agency Belmont Icehouse. We can't say how excited and privileged we have been to work with them on this!
Check out the full (and growing) branding package on the front page slideshow or on the slideshow link below. The basic "Deep Ellum Texas" script will be incorporated into a wide variety of symbols and uses that represent various aspects of our diverse neighborhood (art, music, retail, organic/community, dog friendly, and even a wrench to symbolize our blue collar and industrial roots).
