Every year around Valentine’s Day, we get another chance to sip mimosas while exploring Deep Ellum businesses, and this year it’s back. It will start at the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market (with more than 50 vendors), where guests receive the “You Had Me at Mimosa” souvenir glass, a map and a wristband. Amor y Queso has a Palentine’s Day virtual workshop, where you can bond with friends over pretty snacks. Reserve, pick up materials between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, or before 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, then join in on the virtual workshop at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. The kit includes cheese, charcuterie, fresh and dried fruit, breads, crackers, nuts, olives and chocolates, and is meant to serve two people.

Though Elm & Good is normally closed Monday, they will make an exception for Valentine’s Day, offering a pre-fix, four-course menu by Chef Graham Dodds with entrees for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Expect dishes such as Dungeness crab cakes, mushroom tamales, Berkshire bone-in pork chops, butternut squash and Nutella cake. There will also be live jazz from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 14, and the pre-fixe menu will be available Friday, Feb. 11, and Saturday, Feb. 12, in addition to the dinner menu.
