As a live music, entertainment, and arts destination for both locals and tourists, Deep Ellum shares DNA with many of the great districts across the world, and like many of those global cities, Deep Ellum is also home to its very own boutique hostel! Our #businessoftheweek, the Deep Ellum Hostel, was built to provide community and a place of rest to those visiting Deep Ellum from countries or states away. 

The team from the Deep Ellum Hostel quickly realized that when visiting Deep Ellum, you have to drive farther than you should to find an easy place to stay, and they sought to fill that gap in the neighborhood by opening in 2018. The independent spirit of the hostel is apparent as soon as you walk through the doors of their historic building. Previously an auto parts shop and rumored to have been a speakeasy during prohibition, the hostel space provides a calming space while exuding character and eclecticism. 

If you encountered a hostel during an international trip, odds are, it had nothing on the Deep Ellum hostel! The boutique size of the hostel means you are never jammed into a massive room with dozens of travelers or fighting for use of a shower or sink. In fact, you can even book a private room with an attached bathroom for maximum privacy at hostel prices. 

Although you’ll never be far from the booming bass of a Deep Ellum live show or DJ, the hostel keeps things mellow without straying far from the heart of the neighborhood.
